Andy Erickson has been making Ovid Napa Valley wines since the first harvest in 2003, and is now our Consulting Winemaker. He was instrumental in the design of the cellar, making sure it is as functional as it is beautiful. Andy has lived and worked in Napa Valley since 1994, and has worked for Staglin Family Vineyard, Harlan Estate, Spottswoode, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, and Newton Vineyard. His current winemaking clients include Arietta, Dalla Valle, Dancing Hares and Ovid, and he and his wife, Annie Favia, also make their own wine under the Favia label.
Andy has a Master’s Degree in Enology from the University of California at Davis, and loves skiing, traveling, all kinds of farming and gardening, and time spent with his wife and kids. His current favorite book is Cutting for Stone, by Abraham Verghese.
