In transforming our estate-grown grapes to Ovid wine, we take meticulous care in every step, blending classical and modern methods in farming and winemaking.  Planted in 2000, our organically farmed and CCOF-certified 15 acre vineyard is divided into one acre blocks, each with a different rootstock and clone combination of Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The winery itself is classically proportioned and built of timeless materials—wood, stone and concrete, interleaved with modern windows, hatches and skylights—and powered by solar energy. Our gravity flow winemaking process uses traditional and modern methods, including a combination of built-in-place concrete fermenters, all with heating and cooling controls.
We aim to embody our classical theme in all that we do. We value long-lasting relationships and sustainable methods in farming and winemaking, all with the goal of creating a wine estate that will outlast us.
